What is the difference between 10 pound bags of fire glass and 10 pound jars of fire glass?

What types of fuel can be used with American Fire Glass?
Fire glass can be used with natural gas or propane.
Can I use fire glass with my ceramic logs or lite stone balls?
Do not place anything above the fire glass, that traps more heat, and the glass can fuse to itself.
Can I use recycled glass indoors?
Recycled Fire Pit Glass is for outdoor use only.
What is the difference between Premium and Classic Fire Glass?
Premium and Reflective are the same thing, it is made from colored glass with a mirrored finish on one side of each piece. Classic Fire Glass is colored glass without a mirrored finish.

Luster is different than premium/reflective, the luster coating resembles oil on water.

This will avoid water spots and helps to break down ‘soot’ residue.
Do I cover the burner with fire glass?
YES, a burner should NEVER be used unless it is completely covered. A 1/4" diameter media base is strongly recommended to cover the burner before applying the final topping. The media should cover the burner by about 1/2" to 1" before the final topping is added. Our small lava rock works best. Operating a burner without proper coverage can cause warpage and possible permanent damage to the burner and burner pan. This will also void the warranty on the product.
Cobalt blue boasts a unique and striking beauty and has been the color of choice in some brilliant glass displays. Now your customers can replicate that same beauty in their homes with our 1/2" cobalt fire glass. It features the same gorgeous cobalt color as our 1/4" cobalt fire glass, but delivers a very different effect.
Similar to our 1/4" cobalt fire glass, this variety is chunkier, allowing for better air circulation which results in a bigger, more impressive flame. Your customers may also consider mixing it with clear fire glass to create an even more appealing effect. When the fire feature is lit, the liquid-like flames appear to dance atop the bed of cobalt fire glass, creating a fire display that will leave all onlookers enchanted.
A Practical Alternative to Ceramic Logs & Stones
Our cobalt fire glass is not just dazzling to behold, it is also very practical. It does a wonderful job of covering the entire floor of a fire feature, effectively hiding the unseemly pipes and tubes which are often visible in gas fire pits and fireplaces. This makes fire glass a more desirable alternative to the more common ceramic logs and stones.
Extremely Durable, Safe & Long Lasting!
Our 1/2" cobalt fire glass is manufactured using brand new glass that is non-tumbled tempered to perfection. It has been designed to withstand harsh weather and extreme temperatures of up to 1300 Fahrenheit without losing its color, shine, or shape. Even after many years of use, it will not melt, discolor, or degrade.
Another appealing quality of our fire glass is that it does not emit any smoke, soot, or ash. So, it is extremely easy to clean and maintain.
