What size should my cutout be for the drop-in pan?
We add one inch to length and width or diameter so that the pan has room for expansion/contraction due to temperature change.
What’s the difference between linear and rectangular?
Linear – Single Burner. Rectangular – H-Style Burner.
Fire Pit Rings
How large of a ring should I get?
Keep at least 3” from edges and make sure you have enough gas pressure and volume to support the ring.
H-Burners
How large of a burner can I use?
Firepit: At least 3” from the inside walls of your fire feature.
Fireplace: You want the H-Burner to fit in the middle of your fire box, at least 3” from edges/walls and reference any local codes for additional requirements. Most commonly the H-Burner should be narrower than the back wall of the fireplace.
Can I use this indoors?
For use in outdoor fire pits or fully vented natural gas fireplaces that have a chimney and flue.
Flame Guards
Why do I see two different dimensions for the flame guard?
The assembled dimensions are larger than the pan so that the flame guard rests on the tabletop and sits away from the flames.
What size flame guard do I need?
You can look up our Flame Guard size chart here to determine the best size for your fire pit. We recommend having at least a 2.5” clearance on each side of the burner area of your fire pit, and that your flame guard be placed on the outside of your fire pit for optimal performance.
Burner Covers
Does the lid fit over or inside of the flame guard?
Burner covers sit outside of the drop-in pans and inside of the flame guard.
How wide is the flange?
The flange is 1.25” all the way around. You can add 2.5” to the length, width, or diameter to get the outside flange to outside flame dimension.

Maximizes the Magic, Minimizes the Fire Glass
Our 24" x 8" rectangular drop-in burner pans come with a convenient lip so that they can easily be inserted into your customers' fire pit and then removed after use. Fire pit pans give fire pits a false bottom which significantly reduces the amount of fire glass your customers will need for their display because the pans create the illusion that the entire fire pit is full of fire glass, whereas only the top portion of it is. Your customers get an amazing fire display with minimal fire glass!
